Good Morning to all my Family & Friends,
Shane was up early under the hood and eager to diagnose the mechanical problems with my car. He has a code scanner coupled with the internet ..it's amazing what he has taught himself to do, his prognosis was to replace the battery and restart the system, however due to physical limitations, the cold weather, and not being out of bed for so long limited his valiant attack and he quickly returned to his room and fell fast asleep.
Yesterday afternoon we had a very nice visit and were blessed to have The Byers Family in our Home. After the flowers, hugs and wonderful eggs from their chickens and a little guitar playing with Chris one of their very talented sons we knelt in prayer and Thanked God for bringing us together to share our experiences with strength, faith, hope, love and charity. In his name we rebuke cancer and prayed for Shane to have a physical earthly healing. We marveled at how strong the spirit felt at this moment assuring us God was listening. He brings the best out in his people as He brings them together. It is truly miraculous how He works and how the Power of Prayer Works! We are Thankful this Easter Season for the Miracle of Redemption and Resurrection that Jesus offers all those who follow him. We believe in Christ and with the power and comfort in knowledge that we are Gods Children. He is very aware of our circumstances and He loves us and truly wants the BEST for All of HIS CHILDREN!
Everyday holds a possibility of a miracle.
God Bless~

Happy Easter!
Shane's Blood Transfusion went well yesterday at the hospital. We met some very nice people including Nurse Birdie who runs the room. It took about three hours and the view from the room was beautiful. It was good to know that we were heading home right after the transfusion. Shane got some color back immediately, and I'm hoping when he wakes up this morning he feels energized.
Today the Nurse is coming out to set up a moniter to our phone line that will moniter Shane's vitals signs. Thank you all for your prayers..love & Support!
GOOD FRIDAY
In the Catholic Church, Good Friday is the day on which we commemorate the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, the act that brought salvation to all who believe. It is the culmination of Holy Week, which begins on Palm Sunday, and it takes place two days before Easter Sunday.
Good Friday occurs two days before Easter Sunday in the United States. It is the day when Christians commemorate Jesus Christ's crucifixion, which plays an important part in the Christian faith. It is not a federal holiday in the United States, although it is a state holiday in some states.
Good Friday is the day when Christians commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. This is an important event in Christianity, as it represents the sacrifices and suffering in Jesus' life. The crucifixion was the culmination of a number of events in Holy Week, including: the triumphal return of Jesus to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday; the washing of the disciples' feet by Jesus; and the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday. Some churches organize a prayer vigil on Good Friday for various causes, such as for cancer patients or for the American troops who have been sent to the middle-east.
Here is the info about the paper cranes that OSU Cascades Campus Sparrow Club is doing for Shane:
Paper Cranes
An old Japanese legend said that anyone who folds a thousand paper cranes so pleases the gods, the folder is granted a wish. One of the well known stories is Sadako and her 1,000 paper cranes.
Sadako Sasaki (January 7, 1943 – October 25, 1955) was a Japanese girl who lived near Hiroshima , Japan . She was only two years old when the atom bombwas dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. As she grew up, Sadako was a strong, courageous, and athletic girl. In 1954, at age eleven, she became dizzy and fell to the ground. Sadako was diagnosed with leukemia, the "atom bomb disease".
Sadako's best friend Chizuko, came to visit her and brought with her some origami (folding paper). She told Sadako the legend of the crane. It is Japanese legend that folding 1000 paper cranesso pleases the gods that the folder is granted a wish. Sadako wished to get well. So, after hearing the legend, Sadako decided to fold 1,000 cranes.
After she folded 500 cranes she felt better and the doctors said she could go home for a short time, but by the end of the first week back home the dizziness and fatigue returned and she had to return to the hospital. Sadako continued to fold cranes. Even though she was in great pain, she tried to be cheerful and hopeful. Not long afterwards, with her family standing by her bed, Sadako went to sleep peacefully, never to wake up again. She had folded a total of 644 paper cranes.
Sadako's story had a profound impact on her friends and classmates. They completed her thousand cranesand continued to raise money from school children all over Japan to build a statue to honor Sadako and all the children affected by the bomb.
The students have folded hundreds of the paper cranes already for Shane and have hung them in a public place at the school to remind everyone of what their wish is; for Shane to get better. Thank you so much OSU Cascade Campus for all your compassion and support.

Christ Jesus you hung upon a cross and died for us
So that we might live for you
Your body was broken and your blood shed
So that we might be healed and made whole
You were faithful unto death
So that we might be faithful unto life
Your last command was that we might love one another
One family together from every tribe and nation
A new creation united through your sacrifice
Redeemed by your blood
Healed by your love
United by your covenant of peace
In your death may we find life
