First there was surgery, then chemotherapy and radiation. Now, doctors have overcome 30 years of false starts and found success with a fourth way to fight cancer: using the body's natural defender, the immune system.
In this Wednesday May 27, 2009 photo, Dr. Patrick Hwu, left, talks with his c… Continue

Shane was out and about Saturday, only a miracle could have produced the results weve seen. Shane continues to grow stronger and refuses to give into osteosarcoma and continues to win not missing a beat. He was up early Saturday morning to meet Nurse Diane, her husband and friends for a day out in the field, four wheel driving, shooting targets and carrying on as if it was just another day, two brothers hanging out together. Praise God from who all Blessings flow. We are so thankful to see him g… Continue

Tomorrow marks Boey's second birthday in Heaven, don't you wish you could be there for that party!!! We all miss you Boey!!! ...Big Squishy hugs and Butterfly kisses.....
Shoes
I am wearing a pair of shoes.
They are ugly shoes.
Uncomfortable shoes.
I hate my shoes.
Each day I wear them, and each day I wish I had another pair.
Some days my shoes hurt so bad that I don’t think I can take another step.
Yet, I continue to wear them.
I get funny looks wearing these shoes.
I can tell in others eyes that they’re glad they are my shoes and not
theirs.
T hey never talk about my shoes.
To learn how awful my shoes are might make them uncomfortable.
To truly understand these… Continue
Good Morning to all my Family & Friends,
Shane was up early under the hood and eager to diagnose the mechanical problems with my car. He has a code scanner coupled with the internet ..it's amazing what he has taught himself to do, his prognosis was to replace the battery and restart the system, however due to physical limitations, the cold weather, and not being out of bed for so long limited his valiant attack and he quickly returned to his room and fell fast asleep.
Yesterday afternoon w… Continue

She was in the gym after school and got hit in the head with a basketball, she was fine at first, but then it started to hurt her and she started screaming, she went and laid down in her classroom, and my choir teacher, ms. marla woke her up, she puked blood, and then she couldn't breathe, her dad came and took her to the hopsital and they put a tube down her throat… Continue

last night, as i was watching extreme makeover home edition, i was watching as a fourteen year old named lizzie bell, had a rare blood disease present at birth, and causes her to get blood transfusions constantly and puts her in the hospital all the time. As i was learning a little more about her, i realized that she started an organization called lizzies loot and raised awareness for blood donations for kids like her. I also realized that she brought bears to kids in the hospital, and that she… Continue
Hi all,
I think about Boey everyday and miss our chats and prayer times. I hope some day that we will come together again and unite. I am carrying on Boey's legacy by having a Childhood Cancer Awareness event in September. If anyone has any ideas to help me make this a successful event, please email me at LBayusik@aol.com. This is not a fundraiser so I am not asking for money. Thanks and God bless!
