The Believe for Boey Foundation is officially a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable foundation. As you may be aware the foundation is established to improve the quality of life for children and families suffering from pediatric cancer. We provide this support with financial assistance, cancer research grants, community, educational and spiritual support (from our supporters). Families suffering from cancer are effected in many ways; often the family has mounting medical bills, they are unable to work- leaving them with little to no income to pay their mortgage, groceries and other necessities. Cancer strikes without warning and even the most independent of family can be crippled emotional and financially. A message to all members of Believe for Boey Foundation
Hello Everyone!
Recently by accident the Beleiveforboey.org domain name was lost. Until further notice you can access the website by going to www.believeforboey.com. the other domain has been purchased by someone with the intention to extort money from us, in order to get control of the domain again. Most likely the permanent home of BelieveforBoey will be the new address http://www.believeforboey.com. More informaiton on this will follow as we make the technical changes. Some features of the site may be effected temporarily.
I would like to take this time to remind us all that we are here for a common purpose. To cure childhood cancer! A common purpose that a brave little girl told all us big kids to wise up to! A brave little girl who reminded us that little people are our future and that they need us big kids to make them feel better. Boey was an unforgettable person who captured all of our hearts. But If she were here today we would be getting yelled at.... by a fearless leader, one who would be rallying her troops for war on the front lines of childhood cancer!
The Believe for Boey foundation is only partially about the legacy of a brave girl named Boey. Her story was never one of "remember me". It was always remember those like me, the children and the families-like mine, who are suffering! It is about being strong, about being brave, about finding a cure.
Lets not forget who brought us together...But more importantly lets move forward with the mission she left us behind to finish!

Sept 9/09 - Stuck In A Moment: Two Years Later

It has now been two years since my son Darrel was taken from us. Though the Earth continues to spin around, and life, with all its joys, trials, and tribulations continues to unfold before me each day, September 9, 2007 will forever linger in every fibre of who I am. No matter what happens, or how long I may live, the day that Darrel died will remain in my memory with a sharp piercing resonance as though it was only yesterday.
